The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially released the examination schedule for the CA Foundation, Intermediate and Final examinations to be conducted in May 2026. The institute clarified that the exams will be held subject to sufficient number of candidates registering for each level.

The announcement brings clarity for thousands of CA aspirants preparing for the May 2026 attempt, including timelines for exams, application windows, exam timings, and medium options.

CA FINAL EXAM DATES (MAY 2026)

• Group 1: May 2, 4 and 6, 2026
• Group 2: May 8, 10 and 12, 2026

CA INTERMEDIATE EXAM DATES (MAY 2026)

• Group 1: May 3, 5 and 7, 2026
• Group 2: May 9, 11 and 13, 2026

CA FOUNDATION EXAM DATES (MAY 2026)

• May 14, 16, 18 and 20, 2026

CA INTER FINAL EXAM TIMINGS

• Foundation Papers 1 & 2: 2 pm to 5 pm (3 hours)
• Foundation Papers 3 & 4: 2 pm to 4 pm (2 hours)
• Intermediate & Final Papers 1–5: 2 pm to 5 pm (3 hours)
• Final Paper 6: 2 pm to 6 pm (4 hours)

Candidates will be given 15 minutes of advance reading time from 1.45 pm to 2 pm for all papers except Foundation Papers 3 and 4.

ICAI CA EXAMS APPLICATION PROCESS AND IMPORTANT DATES

Candidates can apply for the CA Foundation, Intermediate or Final exams through the ICAI Self Service Portal (SSP) at https://eservices.icai.org/.

• Application start date: March 3, 2026
• Last date to apply (without late fee): March 16, 2026
• Last date with late fee (Rs 600): March 19, 2026
• Correction window: March 20 to March 22, 2026

Applicants must submit the required examination fee while completing the online form.

ICAI CA EXAM MEDIUM

Candidates appearing for the Foundation, Intermediate and Final examinations will be allowed to answer papers in English or Hindi, as per their choice.
